In the Design Settings dialog you can specify the settings for your new design. Many of the default settings in the Design Settings dialog can be changed for all new designs using the Design Defaults Preferences dialog. The following settings are available:
New Design File Name - Enter a descriptive design name.
Default Component Set - Select the component set for creating and optimizing your design. See Custom Component Library Overview and Custom Component Set for more information.
Start with - Specify the design window tab that becomes active when the design is completed. You can select Design Results, Schematic, Transformer Construction, Board Layout or BOM.
Use Shield Windings - Select to include shield windings on the transformer. See Shields for detailed information.
SI Units - Select to enable SI (non-Imperial units) on all applicable parameters. A list of the differences between SI and non-SI units can be found in the Defaults topic.
Show Settings for New Design - Select to show this dialog in the PI Expert design wizard.
Click Finish to create the design.
