You can check and edit the Wire Size, Winding Type, Number of Turns and Layers. To edit the parameters, click the calculator icon . The icon indicates that the custom parameter value is specified.
You can select Split primary check box to split the primary winding in two separate windings to reduce leakage inductance. When the Split primary check box is selected both Section 1 and Section 2 parameters are active.
Use the Z Winding technique check box to switch between C and Z windings types. Using the Z winding technique brings the end of a multi-layer winding back to start of the winding for each new layer. (See AN-18 for more details.)
Select the Tape Between Layers check box to include the layer of a tape between primary winding layers for lower capacitance.
Select the Primary Side Feedback check box to set winding order to primary, secondary then bias to improve regulation.
For LinkSwitch-CV family Feedback Winding parameters are available. To edit the Wire size and Winding Type, click the calculator icon . The icon indicates that the custom parameter value is specified.
Some of these options are exclusive to one another. For example split primaries cannot be used while primary side feedback is selected. Tape cannot be placed between layers if the Z winding technique is in use.
