The instantaneous maximum controller On-time is violated. This value is calculated at the minimum of the rectified input voltage where Ton appears to be at its maximum. The Controller will autonomously increase the switching frequency in order to keep the output voltage constant.

To decrease the maximum On time the user can decrease the Duty cycle by increasing the input voltage or the input capacitor or alternatively decrease the VOR. On the other hand the Maximum ON time may be reduced by increasing the maximum switching frequency at which the controller operated at full load.
