Notification 215 - Peak flux density (BP) limit has been exceeded

Failure

The maximum recommended peak flux density (BP) has been exceeded.  This calculation assumes that the PI device is operating at its minimum current limit (ILIMITMIN).

The transformer core may saturate and the PI device could be damaged.  The worst-case conditions for this would be at startup or under an overload / short circuit, at high-line AC input and at the highest rated ambient temperature.

• Increase the core size or the cross-sectional area (AE) of the core.

• Increase secondary turns (NSM).

• Choose a smaller PIdevice, which will decrease the maximum current limit (ILIMITMAX).

• Increase the primary turns (NP) by increasing the reflected output voltage (VOR).

• If external current limit is in use, decrease the current limit reduction factor KI (TOPSwitch-GX, TOPSwitch-HX and TOPSwitch-JX only).
