Warning

The chosen core / bobbin may be too small for the specified output power (PO).

The transformer may overheat, under full load, high ambient temperature conditions, which could reduce the overall efficiency and trigger a thermal shutdown event.

• Select a larger core size.

• Increase the overall efficiency (N) of the design; see Application Note AN-19   for high efficiency techniques.

• Decrease the power supply output power requirements (PO), if possible.
