Peak primary current (IP) cannot exceed the derated minimum current limit (ILIMITMIN) of the device. See each device's datasheet for more information on minimum current limits.
The power supply may not deliver maximum output power, at the worst-case conditions of lowest overall efficiency, which is low-line AC input voltage and the highest rated ambient temperature.

-
Pick a larger device, which will increase its minimum current limit (ILIMITMIN).
-
Increase the minimum AC input voltage (VACMIN).
-
If external current limit is in use, increase the current limit reduction factor (KI).
-
Decrease the current waveform parameter ( ), which will decrease the peak primary current (IP).
-
Increase the size of the bulk capacitor (CIN), which will increase the minimum input voltage (VMIN).
-
Increase the reflected output voltage (VOR), which will increase the duty cycle (DMAX)
-
Reduce the loss allocation factor (Z)
-
Increase the overall efficiency (N); see Application Note AN-19 for high efficiency techniques.
-
Decrease the power supply’s output power requirements (PO)
